The Tiffen 6.6 x 6.6" Double Fog 1/4 filter simulates the effects of natural fog or mist by creating a soft glow around highlights and reducing the overall contrast of the scene. Compared to the standard Fog filter, this filter places greater emphasis on contrast reduction whilst maintaining sharpness and minimising veiling effects. The 1/4 density provides more fog effect than the 1/8, but less than the 1/2, and requires no exposure compensation.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of one ten-thousandth of an inch. This filter measures 6.6 x 6.6" / 167.6 x 167.6 mm.
