The Tiffen Pro-Mist 1 6.6 x 6.6" filter helps reduce the intensity of highlights whilst significantly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or blur filter, Pro-Mist filters preserve most image detail. The density 1 offers more contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/2 density, but less than density 2, whilst providing a soft, pastel light quality.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 6.6 x 6.6" / 167.6 x 167.6 mm.
