The Tiffen Pro-Mist 2 6.6 x 6.6" filter helps reduce the intensity of highlights while noticeably decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or blur filters, Pro-Mist filters preserve much of the image detail. Density 2 provides greater reduction of contrast and highlights than density 1, but less than density 3, while allowing for a soft, pastel-like light quality.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishing it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 6.6 x 6.6" / 167.6 x 167.6 mm.
