The Tiffen 6.6 x 6.6" Skylight 1-A filter is a general-purpose filter with a slight pink tint that helps to improve overall colour accuracy and clarity. The pink colouring helps to reduce the overall bluish cast of daylight and is particularly effective when photographing landscapes and in shade.

The Sky 1A filter is also useful as a general protective filter to be left permanently on lenses. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture that could reach your lens and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratches could occur.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 6.6 x 6.6" / 167.6 x 167.6 mm.
