The Tiffen Digital Diffusion/FX 1/4 6.6 x 6.6" filter is a softening and diffusion filter specifically designed to be invisible, as if no filtration were applied. Compared to other diffusion filters, this filter offers virtually no flare or contrast loss for more subtle applications. It helps to reduce facial imperfections, wrinkles and gently softens textured backgrounds whilst maintaining sharp focus. The 1/4 density offers the lowest level of softening.

This filter is constructed from Water White glass and is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 6.6 x 6.6" / 167.6 x 167.6 mm.
