The Tiffen 6.6 x 6.6" Far Red Control Kit contains two infrared filters T1 and T1/2. These filters enable HD cameras with extended red sensitivity to reproduce colours more accurately. Without the use of an infrared blocking filter, colours may appear dull due to increased infrared radiation invisible to the human eye. These filters absorb this unwanted light beyond the visible spectrum whilst preserving the unique enhanced red response of HD cameras.

These filters are constructed from Water White glass and are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishing it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. These filters measure 6.6 x 6.6" / 167.6 x 167.6 mm.
