The Tiffen 6.6 x 6.6" Soft/FX Black Pro-Mist 1/2 filter is a combination of the Soft/FX and Black Pro-Mist filters. The 1/2 density of the Soft/FX provides delicate softening and diffuses harsh light entering the lens to produce a luminous effect. Whilst the resulting image appears softer and more ethereal, there is little loss of clarity or detail. This filter works by diffusing light entering the lens with small aberrations; by distributing light more evenly, a soft glow is created rather than the sharp, well-defined image obtained without a filter.,,The Black Pro-Mist helps to reduce highlight values whilst slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections.
