The Tiffen Filter Wheel 1 Black Pro-Mist 1/8 Filter helps reduce highlight values whilst slightly lowering overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or blur filters, Pro-Mist filters offer little loss of detail across the entire image. The 1/8 density provides the least reduction in contrast and highlights, achieving a soft, pastel light quality.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that laminates the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishes it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
