The Tiffen Filter Wheel 1 Glimmerglass 1 filter is a dual-function beauty filter: in addition to modifying the appearance of the image itself, it has a sparkling appearance when viewed from the front, which inspires more confidence in the subject. The filter itself helps soften skin detail, blemishes and wrinkles. It also produces brilliant highlights and a slight reduction in contrast for a more ethereal appearance. Density 1 provides a small amount of softening and overall image modification.

This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
