The Tiffen Filter Wheel 3 Black Pro-Mist 1 Filter reduces the intensity of highlights whilst slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion filter or soft focus, Pro-Mist filters preserve image detail. Density 1 offers a subtle reduction in contrast and highlights, allowing for a soft, pastel light quality.

Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology, a process that laminates the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishes it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
