The Tiffen Filter Wheel 3 Black Pro-Mist 3 filter helps to reduce highlight values whilst slightly lowering overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or blur filters, Pro-Mist filters result in little loss of detail across the entire image. Density 3 offers a noticeable reduction in contrast and highlights, allowing for a soft, pastel-like quality of light.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process which laminates the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishes it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
