The Tiffen Filter Wheel 3 Pro-Mist 1/4 Filter helps reduce the value of highlights whilst noticeably lowering overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or softening filter, Pro-Mist filters result in little loss of image detail. The 1/4 density provides very slight contrast and highlight reduction and delivers a soft, pastel-like light quality.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
