The Tiffen Filter Wheel 6 Pro-Mist 1/4 filter helps reduce highlight values whilst significantly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or blur filter, Pro-Mist filters offer little loss of detail across the entire image. The 1/4 density provides a very slight reduction in contrast and highlights and achieves a soft, pastel light quality.

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishing it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch.
