The Sigma 49mm UV WR filter is a versatile clear filter that helps absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the blue cast of daylight. This filter is particularly useful for photography at high altitude or near bodies of water. It adds no additional colouration or contrast, allowing it to be combined with other filters.

A UV filter is also useful as a general protection filter to be left permanently on the lens. This filter helps reduce the build-up of dust and moisture on the front element and provides additional protection in the event of a drop or situations that may cause scratches.

This Sigma UV WR filter is treated to repel water droplets and resist fingerprints. It is also treated to have antistatic properties that prevent microscopic dust from adhering to the front surface. This helps ensure sharp images.
