The Sigma 55 mm WR UV filter is a transparent all-purpose filter that helps absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. This filter is particularly useful when photographing at high altitude or near water. It adds no additional colouration or contrast, allowing you to use it in combination with other filters.

A UV filter is also useful as a general protection filter to leave permanently on your lens. This filter helps reduce dust and moisture that could reach the front element of your lens and provides additional protection in the event of drops or situations where scratches could occur.

This Sigma WR UV filter is treated to repel water droplets and resist fingerprints. It is also treated to have antistatic properties to prevent microscopic dust from adhering to the front surface. This helps ensure sharp images.
