The Glimmerglass is the first series of filters with a "psychological advantage." The Glimmerglass softens fine details in a unique way, whilst adding a slight luminosity to the highlights. As contrast is also reduced, the result is that of enhanced beauty. A first in this field is the fact that the filter is effective both to look at and to use. The glass itself has a distinct silver "sparkle," which has proved doubly useful.

When production begins and people see the filter sparkling at the front of the lens, they become more confident, knowing that the filter is working for them, and can thus deliver a better performance. Glimmerglass filters are available in grades 1-5 in many standard professional sizes for cinema and television, as well as in screw-on sizes from 49mm to 82mm.
