Tiffen 30mm UV protective filter
 
The Tiffen 30mm UV protective filter is a general-purpose clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. This filter is particularly useful when shooting at high altitude or near bodies of water. No additional colouration or contrast is provided, allowing you to combine this filter with others.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave permanently on lenses. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture that could reach your lens and provide additional protection in the event of drops or situations where scratches could occur.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
