The Tiffen Bay 60 UV Haze 1 filter is a versatile clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. This filter is particularly useful for photographing at high altitude or around bodies of water. No additional colouration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave permanently on lenses. Filters help reduce dust and moisture reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in the event of drops or situations where scratches could occur.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it on precision metal rings. This filter is compatible with lenses featuring a bayonet filter mount, such as those manufactured by Hasselblad or Rollei.
