Tiffen 82mm 1.8 Neutral Density Filter

The Tiffen 82mm 1.8 Neutral Density filter is a uniform ND filter with a 64x filter factor that provides an exposure reduction of 6 stops. Its 1.8 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing down your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can more easily control depth of field and convey motion. Neutral density filters do not affect the colouring of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
This filter is made from Water White glass and uses ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
