Tiffen 812 Warming Filter 46 mm
Ideal for portraits, the Tiffen 812 Warming Filter 46 mm is used to enhance skin tones when shooting in cold lighting conditions. This filter offers a stronger warming effect than a 1-A skylight filter and is particularly suitable for use outdoors in overcast weather or sunny conditions when shooting in shade. It can also be used to absorb the strong blue cast of electronic flash for more balanced and natural skin tones.
The filter is constructed using Tiffen's ColorCore technology, which consists of laminating the filter material between two pieces of optical glass, ground flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and mounted in an aluminium alloy ring.
- The warming filter enhances skin tones when shooting outdoors in overcast weather or in shade during sunny conditions.
- Absorbs the blue cast caused by electronic flash for more natural results.
- ColorCore technology, which permanently laminates the filter material between two pieces of optical glass, maintains image clarity, accuracy and consistency.
