The Tiffen 67mm 81A Colour Balancing Filter reduces the colour temperature by 200K to slightly warm the image to match the colour quality of the lighting. By using an 81A filter, you can achieve a balance of 3200K when the dominant light source is 3400K. The warming effect of this filter requires an exposure increase of 0.3 stops for normal results.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that laminates the filter substrate between 2 optical glass plates, grinds it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounts it in precision metal rings.
- The colour balancing filter reduces the colour temperature and provides a warming effect.
- Subtracts 200K to achieve a colour balance of 3200K from 3400K lighting.
- The filter factor of 1.3 requires an exposure increase of 0.3 stops.
