Tiffen 67 mm 81B light balancing filter
The Tiffen 67 mm 81B light balancing filter allows you to decrease the colour temperature by 300K to slightly warm the image to match the colour quality of the lighting. When using an 81B filter, you can achieve a balance of 3200K when the dominant light source is 3500K. The warming effect of this filter requires an exposure increase of 0.3 stops for normal results.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that laminates the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinds it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounts it in precision metal rings.
- Light balancing filter decreases colour temperature and provides a warming effect.
- Subtracts 300K to achieve a colour balance of 3200K from 3500K lighting.
- Filter factor of 1.3 requires an exposure increase of 0.3 stops.
