Tiffen 52mm 81EF Colour Balancing Filter
The Tiffen 52mm 81EF colour balancing filter allows you to reduce the colour temperature by 650K to slightly warm the image to match the colour quality of the lighting. When using an 81EF filter, you can achieve a 3200K balance when the dominant light source is 3850K. The warming effect of this filter requires a 0.6-stop exposure increase for normal results.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it on precision metal rings.
- The colour balancing filter reduces colour temperature and provides a warming effect.
- Subtracts 650K to achieve a 3200K colour balance from 3850K lighting.
- The filter factor of 1.5 requires a 0.6-stop exposure increase.
