Tiffen 81C 55 mm Light Balancing Filter
 
The Tiffen 81C 55 mm Light Balancing Filter helps to decrease the colour temperature by 400K to warm the image slightly to match the colour quality of the lighting. Using an 81C filter, you will be able to achieve a balance of 3200K when the dominant light source is 3600K. The warming effect of this filter requires a 0.3 stop increase in exposure for normal results.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process which involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it on precision metal rings.
- The light balancing filter decreases colour temperature and provides a warming effect.
- Subtracts 400K to achieve a colour balance of 3200K from 3600K lighting.
- The 1.3 filter factor requires a 0.3 stop increase in exposure.
