Tiffen 82A 55mm light balancing filter
The Tiffen 82A 55mm light balancing filter allows you to increase colour temperature by 200K to slightly cool the image to match the colour quality of lighting. With an 82A filter, you can achieve a balance of 3200K when the dominant light source is 3000K. The cooling effect of this filter requires an exposure increase of 0.3 stops for normal results.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of one ten-thousandth of an inch, and then mounting it on precision metal rings.
- The light balancing filter increases colour temperature and provides a cooling effect.
- Adds 200K to achieve a colour balance of 3200K from 3000K lighting.
- The filter factor of 1.3 requires an exposure increase of 0.3 stops.
