Tiffen 82B 55 mm light balancing filter
The Tiffen 82B 55 mm light balancing filter helps to increase colour temperature by 300K to slightly cool the image to match the colour quality of lighting. By using an 82B filter, you will be able to achieve a balance of 3200K when the dominant light source is 2900K. The cooling effect of this filter requires an exposure increase of 0.6 stops for normal results.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it on precision metal rings.
- The light balancing filter increases colour temperature and produces a cooling effect.
- Adds 300K to achieve a colour balance of 3200K from 2900K lighting.
- The filter factor 1.5 requires an exposure increase of 0.6 stops.
