Tiffen 58mm 82B Light Balancing Filter
The Tiffen 58mm 82B Light Balancing Filter allows you to increase colour temperature by 300K to slightly cool the image to match the colour quality of the lighting. By using an 82B filter, you will be able to achieve a 3200K balance when the dominant light source is 2900K. The cooling effect of this filter requires a 0.6 stop exposure increase for normal results.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 optical glass elements, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
- Light balancing filter increases colour temperature and provides a cooling effect.
- Adds 300K to achieve a 3200K colour balance from 2900K lighting.
- Filter factor of 1.5 requires a 0.6 stop exposure increase.
