Tiffen 67mm UV 17 Filter

The Tiffen 67mm UV 17 filter is a general-purpose clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. This filter is particularly useful when shooting at altitude or near bodies of water. No additional colouration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others. This filter attenuates approximately 97% of UV radiation, slightly less than a UV 2A filter.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to be left permanently on lenses. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture that may reach your lens and provide additional protection in the event of drops or situations where scratches could occur.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
