Tiffen 72 mm 82A Light Balancing Filter
The Tiffen 72 mm 82A Light Balancing Filter helps to increase the colour temperature by 200 K to slightly cool the image to match the colour quality of the lighting. By using an 82A filter, you will be able to obtain a balance of 3200 K when the dominant light source is 3000 K. The cooling effect of this filter requires an exposure increase of 0.3 stop for normal results.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
- The light balancing filter increases the colour temperature and provides a cooling effect.
- Adds 200 K to obtain a colour balance of 3200 K from 3000 K lighting.
- The 1.3 filter factor requires an exposure increase of 0.3 stop.
