Tiffen Double Fog 3 55mm Filter

The Tiffen Double Fog 3 55mm filter simulates the effects of natural fog or mist by creating a soft glow around highlights and reducing the overall contrast of the scene. Compared to the standard Fog filter, this filter places greater emphasis on contrast reduction whilst maintaining sharpness and minimising halo effects. The 3 density offers a noticeable fog effect and requires no exposure compensation.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that laminates the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinds it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounts it in precision metal rings.
- Creates a fog effect with significantly reduced overall contrast.
- Maintains superior sharpness and is less affected by highlight flare than the standard Fog filter.
