Tiffen 62mm Double Fog 3 Filter
The Tiffen 62mm Double Fog 3 filter simulates the effects of natural fog or mist by creating a soft halo around highlights and reducing the overall contrast of the scene. Compared to the standard Fog filter, this filter places greater emphasis on reducing contrast whilst maintaining sharpness and minimising flare effects. Density 3 produces a noticeable fog effect and requires no exposure compensation.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it on precision metal rings.
- Creates a fog effect with significantly reduced overall contrast.
- Maintains better sharpness and is less affected by highlight reflections than the standard Fog filter.
- Density 3 produces a noticeable fog effect.
