Essential Photo Filter Kit Tiffen 77mm

UV Protection Filters
Anti-haze (UV) filters are wise initial investments. They help protect your valuable investment from dust, moisture and scratches, which can lead to costly repairs. If desired, they can be left on the lens permanently for protection. Anti-haze filters offer additional correction benefits for ultraviolet (UV) light which can register on film and videotape as a bluish cast and can mask distant details. Ultraviolet filters allow you to correct the UV effect to varying degrees.
812 Filters
Tiffen's exclusive 812 filter enhances flesh tones and is ideal for portraits taken in overcast conditions or outdoors in shade on sunny days. It also absorbs the blue cast often caused by electronic flash and adds warmth to pale and washed-out complexions.
Circular Polarisers
Light rays which are reflected become polarised. Polarising filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can eliminate unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colours by providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and altered by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to the rotation of the filter and its orientation to the sun. The filter factor is between 2.3 and 2.8 (approximately +1.3 stops).
Circular polarisers are specifically designed for use with autofocus SLR cameras (they also work without problems on manual systems and video cameras).
