The Tiffen 77mm Indie Neutral Density Filter Kit is a comprehensive set of filters (4 filters) for the outdoor photographer who wants to create special effects without having to spend time in post-production. This combination of neutral density filters gives you the freedom to create unique and effective images that would not normally be possible.
The kit contains a set of 1-stop (0.3), 2-stop (0.6), 3-stop (0.9) and 4-stop (1.2) ND filters. Using these filters allows you to employ slower shutter speeds that can produce blurring effects on nature, sport or any action of your choice, such as flowing water, birds in flight, cars - virtually anything you can imagine. It also enables beach or bright sunlight photography when using high ISO sensitivities by allowing the use of slower shutter speeds. Whatever the medium used, film, digital, video or cinema, neutral density filters are highly valuable and should form part of any photographer's arsenal of tools.  
It is often necessary or desirable to control light intensity in a given image. This is particularly true in situations where you do not have complete control over the light, such as in bright and contrasty landscapes. Exposing for the foreground will produce a washed-out, overexposed sky, whilst exposing for the sky will leave the foreground dark and underexposed. A neutral density filter will enable you to maintain exposure control without affecting the colour of the image.
Neutral density filters enable you to photograph in conditions that would normally be impossible - particularly outdoors in snow, on the beach or in extremely bright light scenarios. For the landscape photographer, whatever the format used (film, digital, video or cinema), this filter is almost a necessity as it allows you to maintain creative control in a challenging lighting location whilst preserving correct exposure.
