Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1 52mm Filter
The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1 52mm filter helps reduce the intensity of highlights while slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or blur filter, Pro-Mist filters preserve more image detail. Density 1 offers more contrast and highlight reduction than 1/2, but less than 2, whilst allowing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting in precision metal rings.
