Tiffen Pro-Mist 1 52mm Filter
The Tiffen Pro-Mist 1 52mm Filter helps to reduce highlight values whilst significantly reducing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other blemishes. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or blur filter, Pro-Mist filters offer minimal loss of detail across the entire image. Density 1 offers more contrast and highlight reduction than 1/2, but less than 2, whilst allowing a soft, pastel-like quality of light.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
