Tiffen 55mm Pro-Mist 3 Filter
 
The Tiffen 55mm Pro-Mist 3 Filter helps reduce the intensity of highlights whilst significantly lowering overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or soft focus filters, Pro-Mist filters preserve image detail. The 3 density offers more highlight and contrast reduction than density 2, but less than 4, whilst providing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it on precision metal rings.
Pro-Mist filters offer minimal loss of image detail compared to traditional diffusion filters and soft focus filters.
Particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections.
