Tiffen 58mm Black Pro-Mist 1/8 Filter

The Tiffen 58mm Black Pro-Mist 1/8 Filter helps reduce the intensity of highlights whilst slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or soft focus filter, Pro-Mist filters retain detail across the entire image. The 1/8 density offers less contrast and highlight reduction than 1/4, whilst allowing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it on precision metal rings.
