Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 2 58mm Filter

The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 2 58mm Filter helps reduce the value of highlights whilst slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or softening filter, Pro-Mist filters cause little loss of detail in the image. The 2 density offers more contrast and highlight reduction than density 1, but less than density 3, whilst providing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, polishing it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
