Tiffen Pro-Mist 3 58mm Filter

The Tiffen Pro-Mist 3 58mm filter allows you to reduce the intensity of highlights whilst significantly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other blemishes. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or blur filters, Pro-Mist filters offer little loss of detail across the entire image. Density 3 offers more contrast and highlight reduction than density 2, but less than 4, whilst allowing for a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 optical glass elements, polishing it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it in precision metal rings.
