Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/2 62mm Filter

The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/2 62mm Filter helps to reduce highlight values whilst slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and smoothing facial wrinkles and other blemishes. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or blur filters, Pro-Mist filters offer minimal loss of detail across the entire image. The 1/2 density offers more contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/4, but less than the 1, whilst allowing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it into precision metal rings.
