Tiffen Pro-Mist 1 62mm filter

The Tiffen Pro-Mist 1 62mm filter helps reduce highlight values whilst noticeably decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or soft-focus filter, Pro-Mist filters offer little loss of detail across the entire image. The density 1 provides more contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/2, but less than the 2, whilst allowing for a soft, pastel quality of light.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it on precision metal rings.
