Tiffen Pro-Mist 1/2 67 mm Filter

The Tiffen Pro-Mist 1/2 67 mm Filter helps to reduce the intensity of highlights whilst significantly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or soft-focus filter, Pro-Mist filters result in little loss of detail across the entire image. The 1/2 density offers more contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/4, but less than the 1, whilst providing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it on precision metal rings.
