Tiffen Pro-Mist 1/4 67 mm Filter

The Tiffen Pro-Mist 1/4 67 mm Filter helps to reduce highlight values whilst noticeably lowering overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cine use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or haze filter, Pro-Mist filters result in little loss of detail across the entire image. The 1/4 density offers more contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/8, but less than the 1/2, whilst allowing for a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it to precision metal rings.
