Tiffen 72 mm Black Pro-Mist 1 Filter

The Tiffen 72 mm Black Pro-Mist 1 Filter helps to reduce the intensity of highlights whilst slightly reducing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion filter or soft-effect filter, Pro-Mist filters preserve image detail. The 1 density offers more contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/2, but less than the 2, whilst allowing for a soft, pastel quality of light.
Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it on precision metal rings.
