Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/2 72 mm filter

The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/2 72 mm filter helps to reduce the intensity of highlights whilst slightly lowering the overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or blur filter, Pro-Mist filters preserve most of the image detail. The 1/2 density offers more contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/4, but less than the 1, whilst allowing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it on precision metal rings.
