Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 2 72mm Filter

The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 2 72mm filter helps to reduce the intensity of highlights whilst slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or soft-focus filters, Pro-Mist filters preserve image detail. Density 2 offers more contrast and highlight reduction than density 1, but less than 3, whilst maintaining a soft, pastel-like light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 optical glass plates, polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it on precision metal rings.
