Tiffen Pro-Mist 3 72 mm Filter

The Tiffen Pro-Mist 3 72 mm filter helps to reduce highlight values whilst notably decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and smoothing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or soft-focus filters, Pro-Mist filters offer little loss of detail across the entire image. Density 3 offers more contrast and highlight reduction than density 2, but less than 4, whilst allowing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it on precision metal rings.
