Warm Soft FX Filters
Tiffen Soft/FX filters are artistic softening filters. These filters feature a pattern of tiny lenses that blur small details, such as wrinkles and skin imperfections, whilst maintaining the sharpness of larger details such as eyes. Soft/FX filters are available in most sizes, with grades ranging from half to five, with grade 5 offering the most pronounced softening effect. This filter is particularly effective for artistic softening effects in portraiture.
This filter combines the effects of Tiffen's Soft/FX series and their exclusive 812 warming filter.
Pro Mist Filters
The Pro-Mist and Warm Pro Mist filters, which are part of Tiffen's Hollywood/FX series, generally produce a diffusion of highlights that appears more as a "halo" than the more extensive diffusion of a fog filter. By keeping the diffusion closer to the subject, they create an almost pearlescent glow on the highlights. Available in various degrees of diffusion (with grade 5 having the strongest effect), the lower grades of the filter are also used to reduce the excessive sharpness and contrast of modern film and lens combinations without harming the image. The Black Pro-Mist series also creates moderate image softening and moderate to strong highlight diffusion, but with less lightening effect in shadow areas.
Both of these filters are also available in "Warm" series which combines the Pro Mist effect with Tiffen's exclusive 812 warming filter.
