Tiffen Pro-Mist 1 82mm Filter
The Tiffen Pro-Mist 1 82mm filter helps to reduce the intensity of highlights whilst significantly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other blemishes. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or blur filters, Pro-Mist filters preserve image detail. The density 1 offers more contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/2, but less than the 2, whilst providing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, polishing it flat to a tolerance of one ten-thousandth of an inch, then mounting it on precision metal rings.
- Pro-Mist filters offer minimal loss of image detail compared to traditional diffusion and blur filters.
