Tiffen Pro-Mist 2 82mm Filter
The Tiffen Pro-Mist 2 82mm filter reduces the intensity of highlights whilst significantly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for reducing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty. Unlike traditional diffusion or blur filters, Pro-Mist filters preserve detail across the entire image. Density 2 offers more contrast and highlight reduction than density 1, but less than density 3, whilst creating a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that laminates the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, polishes it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounts it in precision metal rings.
- Pro-Mist filters offer minimal loss of detail across the entire image compared to traditional diffusion and blur filters.
